BEST CHOCOLATE SYRUP BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
Dash of salt
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. chocolate flavored syrup, canned
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Whole pecans or walnuts to garnish

In a bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and eggs until very creamy or well blended. Add salt. Stir in flour, mixing to blend well. Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and nuts (chopped). Turn mixture into well greased and lightly floured 9 inch square pan. Smooth top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire rack but loosen cake at edges. Cut in squares. Garnish with pecan or walnut halves or dust with powdered sugar. Yields: 16 to 18 brownies.
