AMERICAN CHOP SUEY | |
3/4 lb. beef 3/4 lb. pork 3/4 lb. veal 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 2 c. sliced celery Salt Pepper Flour Water or beef broth Soy sauce Dark molasses Brown onions in hot fat. Remove with slotted spoon. Cut beef, pork, and veal into small pieces in bite size. Brown meats in same fat. Add sliced celery and return onions to pot. Simmer covered until all liquid is absorbed. Stir in flour. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add water or beef broth to cover meats. Add soy sauce and molasses to taste. Simmer until tender. Serve with hot cooked rice. |
