DOROTHY'S BREAD | |
2 c. quick oatmeal 1 tsp. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. molasses 1 tsp. salt 10 c. flour 3 cakes yeast Pour one quart boiling water over 2 cups oatmeal; cool. Add butter, brown sugar, molasses and softened yeast. Mix well and allow to stand for 30 minutes. Knead flour into dough. Allow to rise twice. Form into loaves. Rise again and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 4 loaves. |
