CREAMED SHRIMP ITALIANO
12 to 16 oz. pasta (your choice)
1 to 1 1/2 lb. medium shrimp
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 oz.) can cream of shrimp soup
2 tbsp. olive oil
white wine, to taste

SALAD DRESSING:

1 env. dry garlic and herb dressing mix (I use Good Seasons)
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. fresh or dried parsley
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. garlic (optional)
1 tbsp. basil pesto sauce (optional)
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Prepare pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, mix dry dressing mix, water, olive oil, parsley, lemon juice, garlic, pesto sauce and black pepper (a blender works best). Set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet on medium heat, add chopped onion; cook and stir until tender but not browned, stirring occasionally. Stir in salad dressing mixture and can of cream of shrimp soup. Add fresh or frozen shrimp, bring to a boil on medium heat; boil one minute. Add white wine, to taste. Stir and serve over pasta.

I made this recipe and it was really delicious! The shrimp were so flavorful, and the cream of shrimp soup gave it a great richness. The salad dressing was perfect for the pasta. I would definitely make this again.
