HIGTONE’S CHILI | |
2 lb lean ground beef 1 can 28oz diced tomatoes 1 can 28oz tomato sauce 2 large green peppers, diced 2 large onions, diced 6 cans red chili beans in chili sauce 2 heaping tablespoons minced garlic ˝ teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon ground oregano leaves 2 tablespoons chili powder Dice green peppers and onions and combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili beans, minced garlic, and rest of the seasonings in a large 8 to 16 quart pot. Put on low heat stirring occasionally. Cook for about an hour or until you fry the ground beef. Fry ground beef in a separate frying pan, drain. Then add to mixture, continue cooking, stirring occasionally for about 2 hours. Submitted by: Michael C Higgins |
