APPLE CRUMBLE 
6 apples, sliced
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter

Pare and slice apples into shallow baking dish. Add lemon juice to water and sprinkle sugar mixed with cinnamon. Blend flour, brown sugar and work in butter as for pastry, making a crumbly mix. Spread this over apples to pat smooth. Bake in 350 degree oven about 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
