FAVORITE APPLE PIE 
4 c. sliced tart apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. plain flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. butter
Deep dish pie crust

Combine dry ingredients and pour over sliced apples; add lemon juice. Toss mixture together until slices are well coated. Pour into pie shell. Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until apples are tender.

For a glaze, when pie is half done, brush generously with corn syrup (optional).
