JUMBO PUMPKIN COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 c. butter
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
2 eggs
1 c. coarsely nut like cereal
1/2 c. raisins

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt. Cream butter; gradually add sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Add pumpkin and eggs and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in cereal and raisins, using 1/4 cup dough for each cookie. Drop onto greased baking sheets, about 3 inches apart. Flatten into 3 inch rounds. Decorate, if desired. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Confectioners' glaze: Gradually add 1 1/2 tablespoons hot water or milk into 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar. Color, if desired. These cookies may be wrapped and frozen.
