PECAN TARTS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. sifted flour
1/3 c. Karo dark corn syrup
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. butter

Mix butter and sugar; stir in egg yolks, almond extract, and flour. Press evenly into tart shells or muffin cups. Bake in 400 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Bring to boil butter, Karo syrup, and powdered sugar. Stir in pecans; spoon into shells. Top with pecan halves. Bake in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
