BROOKE'S CHOCOLATE GRAHAM TOFFEE

graham crackers (about 1/2 pkg.)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven at 350°F.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter on medium heat, add sugar once melted. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring mixture often (this will be your toffee).

Line a 9x13-inch or 10x15-inch jelly roll pan with non-stick foil. Spread the graham crackers evenly onto the pan. Pour the toffee mixture over the graham crackers.

Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes until toffee mixture appears bubbly.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on to the graham crackers immediately after taking the pan out of the oven. Let the chocolate chips melt, then spread the chocolate evenly across the graham crackers with a spatula. Let the "bark" cool in the refrigerator. Once cooled, break the graham crackers into even squares.

Note: Keeps best in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
