CHERRY PUDDIN' CAKE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cans pitted cherries
1 c. sugar

Sift flour, sugar and baking powder together. Mix all ingredients and put in greased baking pan. Bring cherries (including water they are packed in) and sugar to a rapid boil and pour over cake mixture. Mix lightly. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until brown on top.
