FOOD PROCESSOR CHALLAH 
3 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
Warm water
Beaten egg for wash

Put dry ingredients in processor bowl with blade in place. Pulse 3 to 4 times to sift. Add shortening, cut in 3 to 4 pieces. Pulse 3 to 4 times to cut in. Add egg. With blade turning, slowly add warm water in a stream until dough forms a mass. Let mass beat sides of processor for 50 counts.

Put into greased bowl with warm towel to cover. Let rise. Punch down. Shape. Bake on slate or stone (if possible) at 400 to 450 degrees until brown and "hollow sounding" when tapped.
