GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
6 to 8 potatoes 1/2 lb. bacon 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. flour 3/4 c. vinegar 1 c. water 1 onion salt and pepper Cook, peel and slice potatoes. Fry bacon; remove bacon and drain on paper towel. Remove frying pan from heat and slice 1/2 onion into grease. Put back on heat; stir in sugar and flour. When beginning to thicken, add vinegar and water. Cook until thickened. Pour over and mix into potatoes which have been salted and peppered to taste and 1/2 onion sliced in. |
