HOMEMADE CHILI
3 lb. hamburger, more or less
3-4 med. onions
1 med. green pepper
1 whole sm. box chili powder (Mexican)
1 qt. tomato juice
1 (32 oz.) catsup
1/2 c. sugar (less sugar if using less hamburger)
Salt & pepper to taste

Note: If you like hot chili use Mexican.

In a large skillet add enough water (hot) to make a mush - work this up like making bread until fine texture. Brown hamburger and onions until onions are tender. Drain in a colander, stirring occasionally. Then add other ingredients to hamburger and onions in a 5 quart crock pot and simmer for 3-4 hours.
