HAMBURGER BUNS 
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
1 lg. cake yeast or 3 sm.
7 3/4 - 8 c. flour

Scald milk. Add sugar, salt and butter. Let cool until lukewarm. In a large bowl add 1/2 cup lukewarm water and 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Sprinkle yeast over water. Stir until dissolved. Add milk mixture, eggs and about 3 cups flour. Mix and add the rest of the flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise about 30 minutes. Punch down. Shape. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
