ONION HAMBURGER BUNS | |
8 c. flour 2 pkg. yeast 2 c. lukewarm water 3/4 c. oil 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 4 eggs Combine 4 cups of flour with the yeast and the water, then add oil, sugar and salt. Add 3 eggs, beat 30 seconds. Beat on high 3 minutes. Add 4 cups flour by hand; let rise in greased bowl. Divide into 3 pieces, rest 5 minutes (rolls, not you!). Divide each into 8 balls, flatten, then let rise uncovered on greased cookie sheet. One big onion, thinly sliced, in 1 tablespoon butter. Beat remaining egg with 1/2 teaspoon milk and brush that on bun just before baking for 12 minutes at 375 degrees. The onion is to sauteed in the butter. |
