6 slices bacon
1 c. bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. catsup

BASTING SAUCE:

4 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. chopped onion
4 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. catsup

Loaf: Place bacon on bottom of pan. Combine loaf ingredients; put on top of bacon. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered.

Basting Sauce: Combine ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer. Baste loaf while cooking until sauce is used completely. 6-8 servings.
