THREE - WEEK COLESLAW 
3 lbs. cabbage, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 sm. onions, chopped
2 c. sugar
1 c. salad oil
1 c. yellow vinegar (do not substitute)
2 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. salt

Combine cabbage, green pepper, onion, and sugar. Mix well. Combine oil, vinegar, celery seed, and salt; bring to boil. Pour, while still hot, over cabbage. Stir until well mixed. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 days before using. Flavor improves with age. Will keep, refrigerated, for over a month! Contains no mayonnaise, so is safe to take on a picnic.
