RICE PILAU 
1 lb. Basmati rice
1 med. onion
1/6 lb. butter
4 cloves
4-6 allspice
Knorr chicken bouillon cube
1 (6 oz.) pkg. dried apricots
2 cinnamon sticks
Salt
Almonds

Wash and soak rice for 45 minutes. Drain in colander. In a saucepan saute onion in butter adding cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice. After a few minutes add rice and coat rice with butter. Add bouillon cube, crunch around a little and add water to cover (about 1 inch above rice) and salt to taste. Cover and cook on low 4-5 minutes. Add apricots; cook 3-4 minutes. Serve topped with almonds.
