CHERRY FILLING COFFEE CAKE 
Coffee Cake:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
3/4 c. oil
1 1/2 sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. orange juice
3 eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder

Stir almond extract into pie filling. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, mix oil, sugar, vanilla, and orange juice. Add eggs one at a time, beating 1 minute after each. Mix flour and baking powder together, and add gradually to batter. Put 1/2 the batter into greased 9 inch x 13 inch pan. Spread cherries over batter. Cover with remaining batter.

Topping:

1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Chopped nuts, optional

Mix all ingredients together. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake 15 minutes at 350°F. Reduce heat to 325°F for 35 minutes more or until done.
