BANANA BREAD 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. pecans
6 bananas, ripe
4 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and shortening until smooth. Add well beaten eggs and beat. Mash bananas and add. Add combined flour and soda and blend thoroughly. Add pecans. Pour into sheet pan and cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING FOR BANANA BREAD:

1 sm. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. soft butter
1/2 c. pecans, chopped (optional)

Mix all ingredients and ice bread.
