POPPY SEED BUNDT CAKE 
1/3 c. poppy seeds
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. almond
2 1/2 c. flour + 4 tsp.
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Grease bundt pan well and dust with granulated sugar. Combine poppy seeds and buttermilk and set aside. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and flavoring. Mix well. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk mixture. Beat well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Spread in prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
