PEPPER STEAK 
2 lbs. sirloin or round steak
Garlic powder to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp. salad oil
3 lg. onions, sliced
3 med. green peppers, seeded & cut into strips
1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
3 (5 3/4 oz.) cans mushroom sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tsp. minced garlic, about 3 cloves
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/2 c. dry wine

Season meat with garlic powder, salt and pepper, in large skillet. Add oil and heat. Brown meat on both sides. Drain off most, not all of the liquid in the skillet. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until slightly transparent. Add remaining ingredients. Cover skillet loosely and simmer for 45 minutes to one hour until meat is tender. Serve with rice or noodles.
