GREEN DESSERT / GREEN FLUFF | |
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello 1 3/4 cups boiling water 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs OR vanilla wafer crumbs OR graham cracker crumbs 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk OR 1 pint heavy cream OR a bunch of Cool Whip 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup lime juice 2 tsp. lemon juice Dissolve lime jello in boiling water. Chill till partially set (very thick). Whip till fluffy (use LARGE bowl). Meanwhile, melt butter and add to crumbs, mixing well. Pat into bottom of 9x13-inch pan or dish. Chill and whip the evaporated milk or cream (or open the tub of Cool Whip!). Keep cold. To the whipped jello, add sugar, lime juice and lemon juice; mix well. Fold the whipped cream (or whipped evaporated milk, or Cool Whip) into the mixture. Place gently into crust. Chill in refrigerator several hours before serving. Submitted by: Erik Doughty |
