Hard-boiled eggs
Food coloring
Whole cloves
Sprigs of fresh celery with leaves

Hard-boil desired number of eggs. Hard-boil and peel while hot. While hot, mold in your hands into fruit shapes (i.e. apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, etc.). Dip into diluted food coloring appropriate to fruit. Decorate with cloves and vegetable sprigs. Makes a lovely centerpiece or decoration. "I made these "fruits" in high school years ago. It may take practice to shape them."
