RICE CHEX SNACK (MICROWAVE) 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. white syrup (Karo)

Combine and stir. Microwave 4 1/2 minutes. Stir. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Stir. Pour over 9 cups Rice Chex cereal and 1 cup mixed nuts. Stir. Dump into large brown paper bag. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Dump on waxed paper. Spread out. Cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
