PEACH KUCHEN | |
2 c. sifted flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 12 cling canned peach halves 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 egg yolks 1 c. heavy cream (sour cream o.k.) Set oven at 400 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar. Work in butter with 2 knives until like corn meal. Pile into an 8 inch ungreased pan and pat even over bottom and half way up sides of pan. Place peach halves over pastry. Sprinkle mixture of cinnamon and remaining sugar. Bake 15 minutes. Mix egg yolks and cream. Pour over concoction and bake 30 minutes longer. |
