OLD FASHIONED CRACKLING BREAD | |
2 c. southern cornmeal 1 c. buttermilk 1 c. cracklings 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Sift cornmeal, salt and baking soda together. Add milk and stir in cracklings. Form into oblong cakes and place on greased baking sheets. Bake in 450 degree oven for 3 minutes. Serves 4 to 5 people. |
