CABBAGE SOUP 
1 pkg. spare ribs or (5 or 6 pc. pkg. of Country style ribs)
1 head cabbage
1 med. size onion
Salt to taste
3/4 c. ketchup (must be Heinz's to get flavor)

Cook ribs in a 5 or 6 quart soup pot with water until it boils, with tea strainer squirm off all skum. Lower gas, add shredded cabbage, ketchup, salt and cut up onion. Cook about 2 hours until meat is cooked. Potatoes may be added if desired.
