BEST EVER PIE CRUST 
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt or less
1 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/3 c. cold water

Sift together flour and salt. Add shortening and cut in until mixture resembles corn meal. Combine egg, vinegar and water; add to flour mixture. Stir lightly with a fork until dough follows fork in bowl. Form into 4 patties. Chill. Makes two 9 inch double crust pies.
