CHICKEN PARMESAN 
1 egg
1/2 c. Italian-flavored bread crumbs
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 lb. chicken parts
2 tbsp. shortening
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. basil
shredded Mozzarella cheese

Beat egg and 1 tablespoon water. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then crumbs. Brown in skillet; pour off fat. Stir in soup, 1/4 cup water, onion, basil, garlic powder and oregano. Cover. Cook 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and heat until cheese melts.
