FRENCH TOAST FINGERS WITH
STRAWBERRY SAUCE
 
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen strawberries, thawed
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 slices, white, whole wheat, or raisin bread

In food blender finely chop strawberries. Pour into small saucepan and heat. Set aside and keep warm. In a cup stir together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. In pie plate with fork beat eggs with milk, butter, vanilla and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar until smooth.

Preheat broiler, grease a 15 x 10 jelly roll pan. Dip bread slices in egg mixture, turning to coat well. Arrange in single layer in pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Broil 2 to 3 minutes until well brown and bubbly. Turn bread over and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture. Broil 2 to 3 minutes longer.

Cut each slice into 3 strips. Serve with strawberry sauce.
