CORNBREAD 
1 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt; optional
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 c. skim milk
2 egg whites or 1/4 c. egg substitute
1/3 c. corn syrup or sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil

Sift dry ingredients together; mix in liquid ingredients. Pour into 8 inch square pan which has been oiled or sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 425 degrees until golden brown.
