CHEESY CHICKEN OVER NOODLES | |
1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. flour Seasoning salt 3 c. milk 8 oz. (or more if you desire) cheese (Cheddar, Colby, Monterey Jack, etc.) 8 oz. frozen mixed vegetables Fettucinne noodles In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour. Add milk and seasonings. Stir over medium-low heat until sauce thickens. Do not boil. Meanwhile microwave the vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, work well). Drain water. Chop up into small pieces to disguise their existence from the kids. Add vegetables to thickened sauce. Can season to taste with garlic salt if desired. Serve over noodles. 6 servings. |
