SEAFOOD FRITTERS | |
8 oz. seafood 1 egg 1/4 c. beer or water 1 c. biscuit mix (all-purpose) 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/8 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes 6 drops Worcestershire sauce Oil for frying Crab meat, lobster, or 2 cans clams (minced), shrimp. Beat egg with beer or water; stir in biscuit mix. Add seasonings and seafood (remove cartilage from crabmeat or lobster); mix gently. In heavy skillet or fryalator heat several inches of oil to 375 degrees. Drop batter into hot oil, approximately 2 tablespoons per fritter. Fry until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Makes 12 fritters. Can be reheated in 375 degree oven 5-8 minutes. |
