BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3 lbs. pork ribs
1 1/2 c. water
2 med. onions, chopped in lg. chunks
8 oz. tomato sauce
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dry mustard

Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Place ribs in a single layer in a large baking pan. Heat to boiling: water, onions, tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire, salt, chili powder and mustard. Pour this sauce over ribs.

Cover the pan and chill for several hours or overnight. Bake covered in a hot 450 oven, for 30 minutes. Remove cover and continue to bake basting frequently in 350 oven 1 1/2 or 2 hours or until meat is tender. Yields 4 servings.
