SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 eggs, separated
2 sticks butter, softened
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
Grated rind of 1 orange
1 (8 oz.) sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift the flour and soda together. Add salt to egg whites and beat until very stiff.

Cream butter, sugar and flavoring together. Add the egg yolks one at a time, beat well after each addition. Add the flour mixture and sour cream alternately, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Fold in egg whites and pour into a well greased 10 inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour or until cake tests done. Use your favorite frosting or eat plain.
