STRAWBERRY SALAD 
2 1/2 c. broken pretzels, crushed
3/4 c. melted butter
3 tsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
2 c. boiling water
2 sm. pkg. strawberry Jello
2 pkg. frozen strawberries

Mix pretzels, shortening, and sugar and spread in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Mix cream cheese, Cool Whip and 1 cup sugar and spread over cooled pretzel crust.

Dissolve Jello in boiling water; stir in frozen strawberries. When thickened, pour over cream cheese layer. Chill. Serves 16-20.
