FRUIT CAKE 
1 pkg. date bread mix
3/4 c. regular flour
1 1/2 c. mixed candied fruit
1 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. white raisins
1/2 c. whole red candied cherries
1 egg
1/2 c. water
4 c. brandy flavoring
6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate

Grease bottom and sides of a 9"x5" loaf pan. Line bottom and sides with aluminum foil. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 package date bread mix, etc. Blend until all dry particles are well moistened. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until sides of cake pull away from edges of pan. Short baking time is an advantage in this recipe.
