SPLIT PEA SOUP | |
2 lg. ham hocks 1 lb. dry green split peas 2 qt. water 2 carrots 2 stalks celery 1 med. onion 1 tsp. tarragon Salt and pepper to taste Place all ingredients in large soup pot. Simmer 4 to 5 hours; take out ham hocks. Remove meat and add to soup. Serve with salad and crusty bread for complete meal. |
