GINGERBREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. lard
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ginger
1 c. sour milk
2 tbsp. molasses (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg

Mix 6 first ingredients together; mix as pie dough. Set aside half for topping. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour in two 9 inch square cake pans. Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Serve warm.
