CHOCOLATE - NUT CRISPIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
2 c. chunky peanut butter
2 tbsp. butter
5 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 c. chopped peanuts
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

In 3 quart saucepan, combine sugar and syrup. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and butter. Stir in rice cereal. Spread mixture into flat pan (brownie pan). Set aside.

In heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat. Spread melted chocolate over cereal mixture. Sprinkle with peanuts. Cool for 10 minutes. Cover and chill for 5 minutes in freezer. Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.
