1 pkg. Rhode's frozen bread dough 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 lg. onion, diced 1 lg. jar sauerkraut Take out bread dough to thaw 3 hours before browning beef. Brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain. Put sauerkraut in strainer and rinse lightly with water. Press out most of the juice. Add sauerkraut to hamburger and onion. Cool. Slice bread dough about 3/4 inch thick, work it out flat, cup it in your hand and spoon in hamburger mixture. Seal up dough edges. Let set covered 25 minutes, then bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. If desired, brush top with butter. |
