FRENCH BREAKFAST MUFFINS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
6 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar and egg. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and nutmeg. Add milk. Grease muffin pan. Fill with batter about 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. When done, dip in butter and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
