HONEY-OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. regular rolled oats
2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. powdered milk
2 pkg. dry yeast
6 to 6 1/2 c. sifted whole wheat flour
1/3 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. honey
2 1/2 tsp. salt

Place rolled oats in large bowl and add boiling water. Let stand about 20 minutes. Add yeast which has been dissolved in lukewarm water and let stand 5 minutes. Add honey and oil. Then dry ingredients sifted together twice. Knead well for 5 minutes. Let rise until double in bulk, then knead again. Shape into 2 loaves. Let rise 10 minutes and bake in well-greased loaf pans for 1 hour. Turn out and brush with butter.
