TEXAS BEEF SKILLET 
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 (16 oz.) tomato sauce
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red beans
3/4 c. uncooked rice
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. shredded cheese

In skillet cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown and onion is tender; drain off grease. Sprinkle meat mixture with chili powder and garlic powder. Stir in tomato sauce, undrained beans, uncooked rice, and water.

Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Top with cheese. Cover and heat until cheese melts, about 3 minutes longer. Sprinkle with crushed corn chips, if desired.
