BEST REFRIGERATOR ROLLS | |
2 pkgs. yeast 2 1/2 c. warm water 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 or 2 eggs 1/4 c. shortening 6 1/2 - 7 c. flour Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Mix remaining water, sugar and salt. Add yeast, egg and shortening. Add flour, a small amount at a time, to form soft dough. Refrigerate dough. Shape in rolls, place on baking sheets. Let rise until doubled in size. Bake in 400 degree oven until rolls are browned. Yield: 3 or 4 dozen. |
