NO KNEAD REFRIGERATOR ROLLS | |
2 pkg. active dry yeast 2 c. water 1/2 c. sugar 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour 1/4 c. soft shortening 2 tsp. salt 2 eggs In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, and also half flour. Beat thoroughly 2 minutes. Add eggs and shortening. Gradually beat in remaining flour until smooth. Cover with damp cloth; place in refrigerator. Punch down occasionally as dough rises in refrigerator. About 2 hours before baking cut off amount needed and return remaining dough to refrigerator. Shape into rolls and place on greased baking sheet. Cover. Let rise until light (1 1/2 to 2 hours). Bake 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees. |
