PINEAPPLE TORTE 
Crust:

1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg

Mix like pie dough. Add egg after dry ingredients are completely mixed. Form a ball and put in the center of an ungreased springform pan. Press around the pan until the dough is about half way up the sides and bottom is covered completely.

Filling:

1 large can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 c. cream
3 tbsp. flour
4 eggs

Strain the pineapple and add sugar, cream, flour and eggs. Mix well and pour into the crust. Bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (about 45 to 60 minutes).

Topping:

whipped cream
1/2 c. cherries

Cool well, then cover with whipped cream and garnish with cherries.
