BIRGHUL BIT FEEN 
2 c. burghul (lg. size)
1 1/2 lb. ground lamb or beef
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 can hommos (chick peas)
1 stick butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Put burghul in greased pan and brown in 350 degree oven, stirring often. When brown, remove from heat.

In pot, melt butter and add meat and onions. Season with salt and pepper. When meat and onions are browned and softened, add burghul. Drain the hommos and add to meat mixture. Add water to cover ingredients and heat on low flame. Stir all together. Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes.

When burghul is cooked and water is mostly absorbed, it is ready for the table. Use yogurt as a side dish. Serves 10 people.
